“Arte Lombarda” was founded in 1955 by Maria Luisa Gatti Perer and since then it has played an irreplaceable role in scientific updating for studies on the works and artists that have marked the centuries of Lombard artistic culture. An important crossroads of European figurative and architectural civilization, Lombardy has for over fifty years been documented and illustrated on the pages of the journal by the most prestigious names in the history of art, alternating miscellaneous issues with monographic issues dedicated to international conferences and systematic reconnaissance reports. The journal has always been a meeting and debate point for all those who in Italy and abroad carry out research on the Lombard artistic heritage, on its protagonists and on the dissemination of its models on a national and international scale, from the ancient age to the contemporary age, through rigorous historical-critical studies. Published every four months, each issue is accompanied by a rich and well-finished iconographic set, in black and white and in color, and by abstracts in English.
